No Jokes, Kindle has been eating away my nap time during transits as well as taking an hour or so from my night time sleep.
It also pulled me away from most of the TV shows that I watch regularly. Now I have several Tonight's Show With Jay Leno, Chelsea Lately, and a few other TV shows waiting in line for me to watch. Luckily it is slightly slow seasons for TV shows, at least for me. I am down to just one TV series, United States of Tara, that will have season finale next week. Leverage and The Closer will start in a few weeks.
By then, I should have consume all the high priorities books in my Kindle. Hopefully...

Gleeking over Glee
I downloaded episodes of Glee a few months back, after hearing many celebrities said that they are watching it on Jay Leno show. I read up about it a bit on wikipedia and boy I didn't know that it would be this good :D
I won't go on about what the show is, you should watch it anyway. I really love the music part of the show. They have got many talent actor/singers. Quite a few are from Broadway shows, while a few others are fresh off the casting couch.
The main girl and the teacher are from Broadway show while Chris Colfer, a male soprano, who play Kurt is a fresh faced one. The songs they use are both new and old and those who sang them nailed the songs very nicely. I especially like Kurt's rendition of 'Defying Gravity'.
In the latest episode, Home, Kurt's rendition of 'A House is Not a Home' could reduce men to tears. I am related to the sense of loneliness in this particular episode. The last song, 'Home', by Kristen Chenoweth is also very touching. Especially when she closing the song by hitting the high note.
On a related issue, I love to see Kristen Chenoweth on TV :) I think she is kinda like Bette Midler in that she can act, she can sing and she is very funny. Anyway, I now sometimes play Glee episodes on my computer to listen to the songs :)

Harddisk Blues
After a little more than a year since the last time I buy new harddisk, I have manage to almost filled it. Although I did not feels like it's been that long, good thing that I did blog about it so I know when I bought it last year.
The price of 1TB (TB=Terrabyte which means 1,000 GB :d) harddisk became more attractive but I would love to buy the 1.5 TB one instead. However, the 1TB one is still about 1,300 baht cheaper than the 1.5TB one. The price which I do not wants to pay just yet. But it became harder and harder to make space for my downloads, especially in this series heavy season. The Closer and So You Think You Can Dance are running weekly now. Soon Leverage will began it's second season in July and then Dexter's fourth season in September :O.
I could not possibly housed all those files with my current 14GB space left on my biggest harddisk. Despite my wish that I wants to hold off buying new harddisk until the price of 1.5TB one reduce to about 4,000 baht. I don't think that I can wait that long.

The Closer Affairs
I had became a fan of the TV series 'The Closer'. After watching a few episode of the first season I was hooked!
Although I must say that Kyra Sedgwick character's accent is very southern and perhaps can get on your nerve, her acting (the accent included) make the character seems real and believable. The chief was sharp and cunning at times and can also bequite clumsy and bumbly acted as well. Not the mention neurotic, still worried about what her parents' opinion of her, and not to mention an ex-CIA to boot!!
Her team is also a collective group of police with different specialties in addition to their ages, ranks, and even race. Which allow the show to play with the interactions between the team members, their contribution and facets.
Just like any good shows, the writing is very good, each episode was quite fresh in their story and context.
I will certainly watch it till the end :)

Get Out Your Dancing Shoes
The third cycle of 'So You Think You Can Dance' began showing in the local cable for about 4 weeks now and I have follow every episode so far... *face in hands in shame*
Anyhoo... Last night, was the first performance show of the top 20s. My reaction when I saw it was that 'Boy they really pushing the performance this times' All the routines have trick moves and big endings.
I am looking forward to seeing more of the show. With little space left I will not 'acquired' the show to watch it.
On another note, summer seems to finally arrive here, not that I complain... It felt real nice to shower now. But it is more troubling come sleep time...

Dashing Dexter
I had first saw the ad of this TV series, Dexter, on one of the channel in the local cable (the show is on one of the Star channel I think) and I have a mild interest in it because the lead star is Michael C. Hall aka David from Six Feet Under.
After sometime I look the show up on Wikipedia and realize that it was not another run of the mill crime series. Because the lead character is a Serial Killer who only kill other Serial Killers. Eventually I acquired season one of the show and begin watching it.
First, it was pretty graphic regarding the dead bodies. Second, people were cursing like crazy, I am not sure if it suppose the some sort of macho thing to do in police force. Third, some sex scene were shown, with some boobs and butts shots. Also the show runs at about 50 minutes per episode. All of these factors made me think that it would be quite a stretch for the local cable to show this series in Thailand, eventhough it was quite good.
I quite like the show, in a few way I can relate to the main character. Because I know what it is like to be a loner. At least Dexter had good social skills, eventhough he was faking it :p
